Gene Adu

Gene Adu Co-founder / Head Director, The Creative Inc.

Gene Adu is a Ghanaian director, screenwriter and producer of film, television and music videos. Adu is also the co-founder of The Creative Inc., a collective comprising of artists, storytellers and collaborators.  He has directed acclaimed short films including Guilty (2015) and Three Nights Ago (2016) – which won three awards in 2016.

In addition to writing for other directors, writing/directing an entire season of episodic television, and producing online content for The Creative Inc.  Adu has directed music videos for musicians such as Sarkodie, M.anifest, Efya and Cina Soul. His creative vision in Cina Soul’s Ojorley (2018) resulted in six nominations at the 2019 MTN 4Syte Video Music Awards and won the Best Photography Award. His music film for Cina Soul, Killi Mi (2019) won Video Of The Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
