York-Fabian Raabe’s interest in cultures goes back to his early childhood when his mother started taking him along on her travels to foreign countries. With the age of 23 after finishing his second business degree York focused on his main passion film by studying at the established film school dffb in Berlin.
With his Africa focused short films he won multiple awards (e.g. Max Ophüls Price, Arte Award, “Best Foreign Film” L.A.).
After eight years of development he just finished his first feature film “Borga” as a colaboration of Ghanaian and German film people.
